Friends of the Ocean…

We appreciate your keen interest and desire to help us achieve our goal of inspiring conservation of our oceans. The simplicity of our message is that by taking individual, direct action, each one of us can forge change in our own environment. By fostering a sense of environmental responsibility amongst your peers, the wave of caring and respect for our oceans which you create continues to travel, grow and touch countless other individuals.

There are two simple steps that we ask of everyone and which we believe can create positive change in our world. The first step involves taking responsibility for your own personal consumption of resources, following the tenets of “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.” The second step asks that you pay particular attention to the seafood that you consume. When you avoid endangered seafood you discourage the capture and exploitation of those species. When you buy sustainable seafood you are directly supporting that fisherman and his fishery. These simple steps have tremendous impact on the natural world and on human populations worldwide. Seafood recommendations
